Patrick Dessert-Gerber’s wine guide 2021 covers the range of Rives-Blanques wines, calling our entry-level Chardonnay-Chenin “perfectly made” and “most agreeable”; the late harvest Lagremas d’Aur shows “all the persistance and characteristics of the chenin blanc grape”; Trilogie is “perfumed with heather and quince”; Blanquette de Limoux is “extremely elegant”; Aude à la Joie is “full and most agreeable”; and Le Limoux is “ample and rich”.

This is one of the few important wine guides in France to be published thus far this year.  Perhaps the extraordinary tasting conditions of these Covid-confused times explain the mixup in some of the vintages listed in the guide.
