A single barrel of Chardonnay made according to the Burgundian protocol and bottled under the name Facsimile, was also included in Richard Hemming’s list and awarded 16 points.  Facsimile was made as an intellectual exercise, a conversation between terroir, tradition, and technology, and is not for sale .
