May 2016: Occitania 2015 included in the selection of the best wines of 2015 by La Revue du Vin de France.

France’s leading wine magazine, La Revue du Vin de France, published its annual roundup of the best wines of the last vintage, after regional tastings of 10,000 wines from all the appellations throughout the country. In the Languedoc,  2015 marks a return to Mediterranean sunshine after three cool vintages in a row.   “It was a chaotic vintage” they said, “the best wines are from the best, most experienced growers.”   They added: “Limoux’s white wines show  a  full and somewhat warm character, but have very good acidity.”

We are delighted to be included in this nationwide selection for the sixteenth consecutive year, a record for our region.

Occitania 2015 is one of the wines that is worth the detour, they said, describing it as having notes of  “limetree, angelica and pepper – original and sapid, with remarkable freshness”.
