Two white Burgundies, 2 red Burgundies, 3 Southern reds, 4 “smart” Bordeaux including Vieux Château Certan, one of the most celebrated bottles of the vintage, and 2 white Languedoc wines, all made in 2008, were re-tasted 11 years later by Jancis Robinson in an informal tasting at Chateau Saint Jacques d’Albas in Laure Minervois.

“I love these opportunities to test both quality and value” she said, in an article subtitled “True Value Identified.”

“In terms of value,” she continued, “the Languedoc wines were the stars.”
