July 2019: In Vino Veritas in Belgium publishes its selection of the best Languedoc white wines, and includes two from Rives-Blanques.

According to  In Vino Veritas, only 10 %  of all the Languedoc wine appellations include white wine grapes.

In a region dominante by red wines, « the best Languedoc winegrowers are making great white wines which reflect their terroir”.

White wines from this region used to be considered on the heavy and flabby side, they said. But « the hour has come to revise this opinion”.  The Languedoc has always been known for quantity … “but now we can talk about quality”.

Nearly a quarter of the 16 white wines chosen come from Limoux, of which both La Trilogie and L’Occitania were included.
