FOR YOUR DIARY: Rives-Blanques participating in two stellar trade tastings in Montpellier, 26 January 2020

(… and at one in London on 21 January at the Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge Hotel)

Château Rives-Blanques wines will be on the table at two exclusive tastings in Montpellier on 26 January, the night before the big international organic wine trade fair, Millésime Bio.  They include our sparkling Blanquette de Limoux, the range of Limoux  still wines (chardonnay, chenin blanc, mauzac, and a top blend of the three), a tank sample of our award-winning  entry-level chardonnay-chenin 2019, and the late harvest chenin blanc.  All our wines are made exclusively from our own grapes, which are grown in a single 20 ha. holding around the house.

Jan-Ailbe, winemaker, will present a number of our current vintages, some barrels samples of the next vintage, and a ten-year old Chenin blanc to celebrate the Outsiders’ tenth anniversary.  This event, which includes eighteen  winemakers who have come from outside to the great free spaces of Languedoc and Roussillon to make their wines, will take place at the Insensé restaurant, adjacent to Montpellier’s Fabre Museum of Fine Arts.

Caryl, the Vinifille of the family, will join her fellow female winegrowers of Languedoc Roussillon in presenting a region-wide range of wines at the architecturally iconic Town Hall in downtown Montpellier.  The winemaker’s juggling act requiring incredible balance and precision comes home to roost here, in a circus-themed tasting such as the august reception room of this state building has never seen.  The 21 Vinfilles will be joined by a number of their female colleagues from other appellations in France.

Please contact presse@vinifilles.fr for further information on the latter, and contact@languedoc-outsiders.com for details on the Outsider tasting.

Please also slot this stand number in your March schedule for ProWein in Dusseldorf: Hall 11, F92,  slap-bang in the middle of the Hall 11, which we shall be sharing with our mates from the Minervois and their excellent wines, Château Saint Jacques d’Albas.
