January 2018: Paul Strang’s “work of reference and a beautiful volume” called “Languedoc Roussillon, The Wines and Winemakers” visits Rives-Blanques

A lavish book exploring the regions and the wines of 700  winemakers of the Languedoc Roussillon, written by Prix Gourmand writer Paul Strang, “confirms the coming-of-age of Languedoc-Roussillon as France’s new fine wine region” says the celebrated critic, Hugh Johnson OBE.   “It’s already led me to brilliant wines I’ve never met before” he added.

Limoux’s vineyards and wines are explored in depth.   In #Limoux the “quality has increased dramatically” he says, and its fizz can “rightfully take its place among the best of sparklers”.
