December 2013: The glossy French wine magazine, Terre de Vins, publishes a special supplement on the “Talents of the South”, pairing wines with patrimonial sites …

… and Rives-Blanques finds itself featured in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the medieval city of Carcassonne, which lies just 20 minutes from the vineyard.  “Their wines” says the respected magazine, “are always a sure bet”.

Terre de Vins devoted this special supplement to the virtues of the Languedoc’s country wines.   This edition celebrates 25 years of France’s most important wine label – IGP Pays d’Oc.  One third of the vines of the the world’s biggest wine region, Languedoc-Roussillon,  produce Pays d’Oc wines.    An international jury blind-tasted the ‘most ambitious’ of these, to identify Ambassadors for the region, ranging in price from €5-€14, which they called The  Collection. In 2013, there were 16 wines chosen, including the chardonnay-chenin from Rives-Blanques.
