September 2004: Guide Hachette 2005 comes out with some nice things about Chateau Rives-Blanques
Ce domaine n'a pas fini de nous étonner, according to the twentieth edition of the venerable Guide Hachette des Vins 2005 which was published this month in French, English, and for the first time ever, in Russian. The Guide suggests visiting the vineyard in winter or spring "to enjoy this splendid view over the snow-capped Pyrenees, and particularly the Rives Blanques peak after which the vineyard is named".Three of the four Rives-Blanques appellation wines were given a star each: Cuvée de l'Odyssée, 'an excellent cuvée of pale brilliant gold, with citrus and grilled almond aromas'; Dédicace, 'where the aromas of peaches and jammy fruits meld'; and Blanquette de Limoux, with its 'complex nose, mixing the typical floral notes of mauzac with a touch of citrus."
