La Revue du Vin de France,June 2004 Nous avons beaucoup aimé ... Occitania
For the third year in a row, Chateau Rives-Blanques has been included in La Revue du Vin de France's roundup of the best wines of the millésime throughout the country [June 2004 issue].Occitania, made from the indigenous Mauzac grape, was one of the two white wines they most preferred from the Limoux appellation. 'Full in the mouth, rich, stretched in the finish. It was the most balanced mauzac of the tasting' they said. The Revue felt that the appellation had produced few outstanding white wines, as a result of the extraordinary conditions of the summer of 2003. The red wines of the new appellation 'rouge' also suffered, and were qualitatively outshone by Limoux's Vins de Pays d'Oc. Last Updated: 2004/06/01
